Air Europa closes 2024 with record revenue

According to Europa Press, Air Europa will close 2024 with revenues of €2.9 billion, 6.3% more than last year, the company reported this week. The company expects this growth rate in 2025 and highlights the company’s planning trajectory in recent years.

Along these lines, he highlighted the recent €81 million capital increase approved on November 28, comprised of €65 million from its parent company and €16 million from IAG. According to Air Europa sources, the €65 million would be sufficient to cover the end of the fiscal year and avoid liquidation next year.

Another record for 2024 was the transport of some 12 million passengers, a 4.4% increase over 2023 figures.

New developments for 2025 include a fleet increase, including three 787 Dreamliners and the arrival of the first 737 MAX aircraft. This will allow for the expansion of new routes and the strengthening of existing ones, especially the frequencies to the Americas, which are key to its business.
