Given the need to replace the C.15 (F-18) weapons system with the C.16 (Eurofighter) at Gando Air Base, the corresponding implementation plan has been launched. The plan aims to define, coordinate, and control all the actions necessary to ensure the proper integration and commissioning of this new system.

This includes training and updating the knowledge of both pilots and maintenance personnel. In this process, Gando Air Base will play a key role in transforming and adapting its personnel to the PERAM (Maintenance Standardization and Regulation Plans) regulations, an effort that will ensure the training of the personnel involved.

One of the main objectives is for all maintenance personnel to complete a C.16 Family Course. In the initial phase, these courses will be taught by the 11th Wing (Morón Air Base), where students will receive intensive training over the next nine months.

This training program is essential to ensure the proper integration of the C.16 at Gando Air Base.
